Adsy and GuestPostNow both let you buy guest post placements, and on the surface they look similar — you filter a catalog of sites, pick one, and order a post. But the way each platform handles your money, your site choice, and what happens after publication is very different. This is an honest, sourced comparison of where they actually diverge.
(Everything we state about Adsy below comes from Adsy's own website and Terms & Conditions as of June 2026. We have no affiliate or business relationship with Adsy.)
The short version
- GuestPostNow is an open, self-serve marketplace. You browse 500,000+ live listings, see the exact domain and its metrics before you pay, and your payment sits in escrow until the post is verified live. Placements come with a link-uptime guarantee.
- Adsy is closer to a managed marketing agency that you self-serve. You filter a large catalog and pick a listing, but the exact domain is masked until you buy, there is no escrow, purchases are "final and non-refundable," and Adsy explicitly does not guarantee that a post stays live after delivery.
If you want control, low entry pricing, and protection that lasts past delivery, GuestPostNow has the edge. If you value Adsy's larger filter toolkit and don't mind the agency model, it's a capable platform — just go in knowing the refund and longevity terms.
How each one works
GuestPostNow
Publishers list their own websites with a price. You filter by DA, DR, organic traffic, spam score, niche, link type, and price, see the full domain and metrics, and buy directly. Payment is held in escrow and released to the seller only after the post is verified live. Orders carry a seller-committed delivery deadline; if it's missed, the order auto-cancels and you're refunded. You can add placements from multiple sellers into a single checkout and attach special requirements the seller must acknowledge before accepting.
Adsy
Adsy runs a two-sided platform, but its Terms describe it as "an independent marketing agency" that "does not offer payment processing, money transmission, escrow, or payment facilitation services" (adsy.com/terms-and-conditions, §2.1–2.2). You browse the inventory with an extensive filter set and pick a listing — but listings are shown with the domain partly hidden (e.g. te*******on.com) until purchase, and there's a task-review stage where Adsy may select the media partner. You prepay into an account in "Adsy Credits" (1 credit = $1), then spend from that balance.

Where GuestPostNow is stronger
You see exactly where your link is going — before you pay. On GuestPostNow the full domain and its metrics are visible on every listing. Adsy masks the domain until purchase, and its own help docs note that the assigned domain can differ from the one shown (that's why it publishes a "tasks placed on the initial domain" statistic). If placement on a specific, known site matters to you, that's a meaningful difference.
Your money is protected by escrow, not goodwill. GuestPostNow holds payment in escrow and releases it only after the post is verified live, and refunds you automatically if a deadline is missed. Adsy states plainly that it provides no escrow, that "all purchases are final and non-refundable," and that any refund is discretionary and goes to your Adsy balance rather than back to your card. You can send a task back for revision up to three times, then open a dispute that Adsy arbitrates within 30 days — but the outcome is at Adsy's discretion.
Protection that outlasts delivery. This is the biggest gap. GuestPostNow guarantees your placement stays live — 12 months for placements of $15 or more, 6 months below that — with a prorated refund if the link is removed inside that window. Adsy's Terms explicitly state it "does not guarantee that third-party websites will maintain active domains, metrics, websites, or page structures after publication," and that it "will not accept claims" after 30 days. Adsy shows an "average lifetime of links" statistic per publisher, but a statistic is not a guarantee.
Lower cost to start, and no buyer-side markup. GuestPostNow listings start at $5 (the average is around $81), and the marketplace commission is charged to the seller — buyers pay only the standard payment-processing fee, which is waived entirely on a new buyer's first order. Adsy's price filter floors at $15, requires a $25 minimum prepay, and its per-listing price folds in an agency service fee that isn't publicly broken out.
Crypto is an option. GuestPostNow accepts PayPal, Stripe, and crypto. Adsy supports PayPal and cards; crypto isn't offered.
Where Adsy may suit you
To be fair, Adsy does some things well:
- A broader filter toolkit. Adsy exposes 20+ filters and pulls metrics from Moz, Ahrefs, Semrush, and GA4, including per-publisher quality stats like completion rate and average link lifetime. If you like slicing inventory by many signals at once, it's strong.
- Bundled content writing as a first-class option. The "Writing & Placement" path is built into every listing, which is convenient if you don't have a writer.
- A more guided, agency-style process. The task-review and media-partner-selection layer adds hand-holding that some first-time buyers prefer over a pure marketplace.
Who should pick which
- Choose GuestPostNow if you want to see the exact site before paying, want escrow and a link that's guaranteed to stay live, want the lowest entry price, or are buying at volume and want to keep your costs and control.
- Choose Adsy if you prefer a guided, agency-style workflow with bundled writing and a deep filter set, and you're comfortable with prepaid, non-refundable credits and no post-publication longevity guarantee.
Looking for an Adsy alternative?
If you came here because you want more control over site selection, lower entry pricing, or protection that doesn't end the moment your post goes live, GuestPostNow is the closest like-for-like alternative to Adsy: the same "filter, pick, order a guest post" outcome, with the exact domain visible up front, escrow on every order, and a 12-month link-uptime guarantee on top.
