Maximilian Adolph Baer, more widely known as Max Baer, was an American boxer popular from the 1930s. His diligent training and entertaining abilities led to him being recognized best in 1934; the World Heavyweight Champion in boxing. Due to his amusing nature and entertaining persona, he was not only a boxer but a crowd pleaser, whether ‘in or outside the ring’.
Max Baer was born on February 11, 1909 in Omaha, Nebraska. Too sadly, he died on the 21st of November 1959 with the age of 50, but this incident does not ruin his biography. Max Baer was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and spent most of his life in San Francisco, California. His father, Jacob Baer was an Austrian immigrant and his mother, Dora Bales was also a homemaker. When he was a child he had various health issues which led his mother to encourage him to play outdoors and do some sports, in which he also became passionate about boxing and playing which eventually turned out to be his profession and legacy.
Baer stood at an outstanding 6 feet 3 inches, and weighed over 200 pounds all muscular. To say he was a sight to behold would be an understatement, he was an athletic marvel, with broad shoulders, powerful arms and a strong build made his physique outstanding, great assets for any aggressive fighter.
